"My Login Says Expired": What to Do Next

Seeing the word "expired" when you sit down to watch is never welcome. The good news is that it almost always has a simple explanation and a quick fix. This guide walks you through what the message means and the calm, step-by-step way to get back to watching.

What "expired" usually means

In most cases, an expired message means the plan connected to your device or login has reached the end of its term. Every plan - 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months or 2 years - has an end date. When that date passes, Rock Player lets you know so you can renew.

Lifetime plans are different: you pay once for lifetime access, subject to the Terms.

Step 1: Renew your plan

If your plan has reached its end date, renewing is the fix.

  1. On your phone or computer, go to our pricing section or /activate.
  2. Choose the plan length and number of devices you want.
  3. Follow the steps, using the device code shown in the app if asked.
  4. Prefer to talk it through? Use the WhatsApp chat on our website.

Step 2: Press "Check again"

Once your renewal is complete, return to the device and press Check again. Rock Player checks your status and unlocks the screen when the renewal is confirmed.

If it does not unlock straight away, wait a moment and press Check again once more.

Step 3: Sign out and sign back in

If you use I have a login and the app still shows an expired message after renewing, a fresh sign-in can help the app pick up your updated plan.

  1. Sign out of Rock Player.
  2. Close the app fully.
  3. Open Rock Player again.
  4. Choose I have a login and sign in with your details.

Step 4: Check the basics

If the message persists, a few quick checks can rule out common causes:

  • Is the device online? Rock Player needs an internet connection to confirm your plan. Open another app to make sure the connection works.
  • Is the device code the same? If you renewed using a device code, make sure it matches the code on the screen you are using.
  • Is the app up to date? Rock Player includes automatic updates; if one is waiting, allow it to install.

Expired on one device but not another?

If one screen works and another shows a message, remember how device plans work:

One subscription is for one device at a time. You can log in on two devices, but you can watch on only one device at a time.

If you need two or more screens playing at the same time, choose a plan with that number of devices. Plans cover one to five devices; contact us for six to ten.

Changing plans at renewal

Renewal is a natural moment to check whether your plan still fits. Ask yourself:

  1. Has the number of screens changed? A new TV or a family member watching on their phone may mean you need more devices.
  2. Has your routine settled? If Rock Player has become part of your week, a longer plan length means fewer renewals.
  3. Would you rather talk it through? The WhatsApp chat on our website is there to help you choose.

Avoiding surprises next time

  • Note your end date. A calendar reminder a few days before your plan ends gives you time to renew calmly.
  • Read in-app messages. Rock Player uses in-app messages to keep you informed.
  • Consider a longer plan. If you renew often, a longer plan length means fewer renewals. Compare the options at /#pricing.

A quick reference to plan prices

For convenience, here are the prices in US dollars for one device:

  • 1 month: $15
  • 3 months: $30
  • 6 months: $45
  • 12 months: $70
  • 2 years: $110
  • Lifetime: $330

Prices for two to five devices are listed on our pricing section.

Still seeing "expired"?

If you have renewed, pressed Check again, signed back in and checked your connection, and the message is still there, message us through the WhatsApp chat on our website. Include your device code and the plan you chose, and we will sort it out.
