How to Install Rock Player on Fire TV and Firestick

Fire TV devices and Firesticks are one of the simplest ways to bring Rock Player to the big screen. They plug straight into your TV's HDMI port, come with a remote that suits a lean-back interface, and run Android apps that are installed outside the store with a few extra steps.
This guide walks you through those steps in order. Set aside about ten minutes, keep your remote close, and you will be watching on a Rock-designed big-screen interface before your tea goes cold.
Before you start
A little preparation makes the whole process smoother:
- A working internet connection. Your Fire TV should already be connected to Wi-Fi or ethernet.
- Some free storage. If your device is nearly full, remove an app or two you no longer use.
- The Rock Player website address. The installer lives at our /get page. On the Fire TV you will type it as
rock-player-nu.vercel.app/get.
Step 1: Install the Downloader app
Fire TV does not include a web browser for downloading app files, so we use a small free utility called Downloader.
- From the Fire TV home screen, open Find (the magnifying glass) and choose Search.
- Type Downloader with the on-screen keyboard.
- Select the Downloader app from the results and choose Get or Download.
- Wait for it to install. You do not need to open it yet.
Step 2: Allow apps from unknown sources
Fire TV protects you by blocking apps that do not come from its store. You need to give Downloader permission to install Rock Player.
- Go to Settings (the gear icon on the home screen).
- Open My Fire TV.
- Choose Developer options.
- Select Install unknown apps and switch Downloader to On.
If you cannot see Developer options
On some newer Fire TV models, Developer options is hidden by default. Go to Settings > My Fire TV > About, highlight your device name and press the select button on your remote several times in a row. A message will tell you that you are now a developer, and Developer options will appear in the previous menu.
Step 3: Download Rock Player
- Open Downloader. Accept any storage permission it asks for.
- Select the address bar on the Home tab.
- Type
rock-player-nu.vercel.app/getand select Go. - The download starts automatically. When it finishes, Downloader opens the Android installer.
- Choose Install.
- When you see App installed, choose Done rather than Open for now.
Downloader may offer to delete the installer file it just used. Choose Delete - you no longer need it, and clearing it frees up space.
Step 4: Open Rock Player for the first time
Your new app will appear under Your Apps & Channels. To find it quickly:
- Hold the Home button on your remote and choose Apps.
- Scroll to the end of the list to find Rock Player.
- Press the Menu button (three lines) and choose Move to front so it sits on your home row.
Open the app. You will see a device code on screen - this is how your Fire TV is linked to your Rock Player plan.
Step 5: Activate your device
With the device code on screen, you have three calm options:
- Choose a plan on the website. Visit /activate or browse the plans at /#pricing and follow the steps with your device code.
- Chat with us on WhatsApp. Use the WhatsApp chat on our website and share your device code.
- Already a customer? Choose I have a login in the app and sign in.
Once activation is complete, press Check again in the app and the screen unlocks. If a free trial is offered in the app, you can try things out before you choose a plan.
A quick tour once you are in
The first time you land on the home screen, take a minute to explore:
- Live TV with categories and channel previews, so you can see what is on before you switch.
- TV Guide for a full programme grid.
- Movies & Series with details pages.
- Favourites / My List to keep the things you love one click away.
Everything is designed for remote-friendly navigation, so the arrow keys and the select button take you everywhere.
Troubleshooting
Downloader says it cannot reach the address. Check your spelling - the address ends in /get. Then confirm your Fire TV is online by opening any other streaming app.
The installer says "App not installed". Usually this means there is not enough free space. Remove an unused app and try again.
I cannot find Rock Player after installing. Look under Apps at the very end of the list - new apps are added there first.
I see a warning about unknown apps. That is the permission from Step 2. Make sure Downloader is switched on under Install unknown apps.
Keeping things tidy
Rock Player includes automatic updates, so you will not need to repeat this process for every new version. If your Fire TV asks for permission when an update installs, allow it - that is the same unknown-apps permission, applied to Rock Player itself.
Ready to start?
Your Fire TV is now set up to stream solid like a rock. Head to /get to download the app, or compare plans at /#pricing when you are ready to activate.

Ready when you are.
Choose your plan, install the app and start watching in minutes.
