Favourites and My List: Building Your Personal Shortlist

The quickest way to make any app feel like home is to fill it with the things you love. Rock Player gives you three tools for that: Favourites for channels, My List for movies and series, and Continue watching to carry on where you left off.

Used together, they turn a big library into a short, personal shortlist.

Favourites: your channels, front and centre

Most people watch a handful of channels most of the time. Favourites puts those channels in one place so you are not scrolling through every category each evening.

Adding a channel to Favourites

1. Open Live TV.
2. Browse to the channel you want - channel previews make it easy to check you have the right one.
3. Use the favourite option for that channel.

Using Favourites

• Open your Favourites first when you sit down - it is usually the fastest route to something good.
• Use the TV Guide with your Favourites to see a short, personal schedule.
• Add Favourites to a Multiview session for quick access to the channels you follow.

My List: movies and series for later

My List is where you save movies and series you want to watch. You find something interesting, you add it, and it waits for you.

Adding to My List

1. Open Movies & Series.
2. Select a title to see its details page.
3. Add it to My List.

Using My List well

• Add generously, clear regularly. Save anything that catches your eye, then remove titles once you have watched them or lost interest.
• Plan a weekend. Add a few titles during the week and your weekend viewing is already chosen.
• Use a shared profile. For things the whole household wants to watch, add them to a family profile's list.

Continue watching: pick up where you left off

When you stop part-way through, Rock Player remembers. Continue watching and your viewing history bring you back to the right place without hunting.

A few tips:

• Check Continue watching first. If you were halfway through something yesterday, it is the quickest route back.
• Use your own profile. Continue watching follows your profile, so make sure the right profile is active.

Why profiles matter here

Favourites, My List and Continue watching are personal. Rock Player's profiles keep them separate for each person, so one person's list never fills up with someone else's choices.

Set up a profile for everyone who watches regularly, and each person gets a clean, personal home screen.

Finding things to add

Search

If you already know what you are looking for, search is fastest. A few letters is usually enough to bring up the channel or title you want.

Categories

Live TV categories are a calm way to discover channels you have not tried yet. When you find one you like, add it to Favourites straight away.

Details pages

Every movie and series has a details page. Read it before you press play or add the title to My List for later.

A five-minute setup

If you have just activated Rock Player, try this:

1. Spend two minutes in Live TV adding your usual channels to Favourites.
2. Spend two minutes in Movies & Series adding a few titles to My List.
3. Spend one minute choosing your light, dark or auto appearance.

From then on, Rock Player opens to a home that already feels like yours.

Favourites, My List and the TV Guide together

The three features work best as a set. A typical evening might look like this:

1. Open Continue watching to see whether there is something you were halfway through.
2. If not, open the TV Guide with your Favourites showing to see what is on now.
3. Nothing grabbing you? Open My List and choose one of the titles you saved earlier in the week.

Three quick checks, and you have gone from sitting down to watching without scrolling through everything Rock Player has to offer.

Keeping it tidy

• Remove Favourites you no longer watch.
• Clear My List of finished titles.
• Let Continue watching do its job - finishing something naturally moves it along.
