Activating Rock Player with Your Device Code

When you open Rock Player on a new device, the first thing you see is a code. It is not a password and it is not something to memorise - it is simply the way Rock Player knows which screen is which. This short guide explains how activation works and how to get from that code to your home screen without fuss.

What is the device code?

The device code is a unique identifier that Rock Player shows on each device before it is activated. When you choose a plan, the code tells us exactly which television, Firestick, phone or tablet should be unlocked.

Think of it as the address on a parcel. You do the ordering on the website; the code makes sure it arrives at the right screen.

Three ways in

Depending on where you are in your Rock Player journey, there are three routes from the code screen to your content.

1. Choose a plan on the website

This is the most common route for new customers.

1. Leave Rock Player open on your TV or device so the code stays visible.
2. On your phone or computer, go to /activate, or browse the options at /#pricing.
3. Choose a plan length and the number of devices you need.
4. Enter your device code when asked and complete the steps.
5. Return to the device and select Check again.

The screen unlocks as soon as activation is complete.

2. Chat with us on WhatsApp

If you prefer a conversation, use the WhatsApp chat on our website. Share your device code and the plan you want, and we will help you get set up. Once we confirm, select Check again on your device.

3. "I have a login"

If you are an existing customer setting up a new screen, choose I have a login in the app and sign in with your details. This is the quickest route when you are adding Rock Player to a device you already planned for.

Free trial

A free trial may be offered in the app. If you see the option, it is a relaxed way to explore Live TV, the TV Guide, Movies & Series and the rest of the interface before you decide on a plan.

Tips for a smooth activation

• Keep the app open. The code belongs to that device. If you close and reopen the app, check that you are still using the same code.
• Double-check the characters. Some letters and numbers look alike at a distance. If in doubt, walk closer to the screen.
• Use a second screen. Activating from your phone while the TV displays the code is the easiest combination.
• Take a photo. On a phone or tablet, a quick screenshot of the code saves switching back and forth.

"I pressed Check again and nothing happened"

Activation is usually immediate, but a few things can delay it:

1. The payment or confirmation is still finishing. Wait a moment and press Check again once more.
2. The code was entered for a different device. Compare the code on screen with the one you entered.
3. The device is offline. Rock Player needs an internet connection to confirm activation. Check that your TV or Firestick is connected.

If the screen still does not unlock, message us through the WhatsApp chat on the website with your device code and we will take a look.

Activating more than one device

If your plan covers more than one device, each device shows its own code and each one is activated in the same way. It is worth understanding how multiple devices behave before you choose a plan:

One subscription is for one device at a time. You can log in on two devices, but you can watch on only one device at a time.

If you want to watch on several screens simultaneously, choose a plan with the matching number of devices. Our plans cover one to five devices, and you can contact us for six to ten.

What happens after activation

Once unlocked, Rock Player takes you to the home screen. From there:

• Set up profiles for each person in the household.
• Pick your light, dark or auto appearance.
• Start adding channels to Favourites and titles to My List.

Rock Player also receives in-app messages, so if there is anything important about your account or a new feature, you will see it right there.

When your plan ends

When a plan reaches its end date, the app will let you know. You can renew from the website and press Check again, exactly as you did the first time.
